What to do if you've been in a car accident

In the immediate aftermath of an auto accident, it's normal to feel shock and confusion. Yet some of the things you do and say at the accident scene can have a bearing on any future injury claim you may have. Here are a few things you should try to do - and some things you should avoid doing - right after a car accident. This information is general in nature and should not be considered legal advice.

California Highway Patrol officer injured in motorcycle accident

While police officials are often some of the safest and law-abiding officials, they are not completely protected from accidents. Such an accident occurred on California's Highway 680 recently. A California Highway Patrol officer was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident when he was thrown from his motorcycle after being struck by another vehicle. His injuries are serious but he is expected to recover.

Are legal actions available for truck driver fatigue accidents?

A staggering amount of fatalities occur on roadways, often involving large trucks. In fact, over 5,000 lives are lost in the United States every year because of truck accidents. Deadly accidents often occur because of excessive driver fatigue. When an accident happens because of truck driver fatigue, the victims and their families have the opportunity to pursue legal action.

Fatal accident possibly caused by defective airbag

When a family member or loved one dies as the result of a fatal accident, it is always devastating. What makes it worse is when the death was preventable. When a company intentionallycuts corners to save money or negligently puts a dangerous product into the market, that company needs to be held responsible for the injuries and deaths that result.

Distracted driving causes thousands of California car accidents

There are over 24,000 licensed drivers in California. Every driver has something on their mind, whether it is a fight with their spouse, an important presentation at work or an upcoming Caribbean vacation. Unfortunately, a large number of drivers are even further distracted by other things, such as food or their cell phones, resulting in many car accidents per year that result in serious injury and even death.
