Any accident that occurs on the roadways of California can result in serious injuries. It may not be surprising that the smaller the vehicle and the less protection it provides to passengers the more likely it is that there will be catastrophic injuries when that vehicle is involved in an accident. A good example of a vehicle fitting these qualifications is a motorcycle.
An accident recently occurred involving two motorcycles and left one of the motorcyclists fatally injured. The other motorcyclist allegedly fled the scene of the accident. Since the accident occurred, police have been searching for the individual that left the scene of the motorcycle crash. It was recently reported that the suspected driver was located in a nearby state.
According to police, the 27-year-old man was the one who caused the accident, which occurred early in the morning. The authorities stated that the 27-year-old’s motorcycle crashed into a 31-year-old man who was driving another motorcycle. The collision caused the 31-year-old’s motorcycle to collide with the median. His collision with the median caused him to be ejected from his motorcycle, landing in a lane that had traffic traveling through it. Unfortunately, he was struck by a semi, which caused fatal injuries.
When someone is injured in a motorcycle accident, it is important that an investigation is completed so that fault can be determined.
