Anyone who is injured due to the negligence of another individual should be compensated accordingly. Negligent individuals can cause numerous types of tragic situations, but oftentimes these tragedies come in the form of a car accident.
There are numerous drivers on California roads every day who do not exercise an acceptable standard of care. When that negligence causes injury to another, the injured individual is entitled to compensation in the form of personal injury damages from the negligent driver.
A California man is in the hospital with major injuries after a late night hit and run accident on a California freeway. The driver experienced car trouble on the interstate at around 2:30 a.m. The driver got out of his car and was crossing the interstate into the northbound lane when he was struck by a vehicle.
Officers were called by a witness. When they arrived at the scene, the driver of the vehicle that struck the man was not in sight. The injured man was transported to the hospital with major injuries.
Victims of hit and run accidents may be entitled to recover damages from the driver. However, police are currently unsure of the identity of the driver. Therefore they are undertaking an accident investigation in an effort to find the driver of the vehicle.
In situations like this one, injured individuals who are able to recover damages can usually receive compensation for medical expenses and potentially for personal property damage. It is important that negligent parties are held accountable for their actions and that those enduring hardship because of those actions are compensated accordingly.
