The untimely death of a family member, no matter what the circumstances surrounding the fatality, is always difficult and emotionally draining for the surviving family members. This driver’s choice to flee from police and run the red light caused the Durango to strike a minivan carrying a family that was returning from an ice skating outing. Two of the four people in the minivan suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident.
