The most common negligent causes of car accidents

All car accidents have a cause. In many cases, there are several factors that lead to the occurrence of a car accident. For example, a car accident may be caused by hazardous weather in addition to rush hour traffic and a tree that has fallen onto the highway. In this situation, fault may not be attributed to an individual driver. However, in other circumstances, it can be quite clear that one driver's negligent actions led to the collision.

The following is an overview of some of the most common causes of accidents that result from a negligent driver. If you were involved in a car accident due to one of these reasons, you may be able to take legal action.

Running a red light

Drivers who run red lights are making an illegal move. Running a red light can mean that they enter an intersection at the same time as another driver, and as a result, a collision can occur.

Inexperienced drivers

New drivers may not be well-equipped to deal with challenging situations. They may also poorly manage stressful situations and cause a collision as a result.

Distracted drivers

Many drivers do not pay full attention to the road when they operate a vehicle. They may instead be looking at their phone or tending to their children in the back seat. Distracted driving is in many cases illegal, and it can lead to serious collisions.

If you have been involved in a collision and you believe that another driver was at fault, it is important that you take appropriate legal action to ensure that fault is correctly attributed and that you gain the damages that you deserve.
