Motorcycle crash leaves one man with minor injuries

As residents of the state are most likely aware, California's roadways are very busy. Sometimes, irritation with traffic and fear of tardiness can lead to reckless, dangerous driving. One aspect of this type of driving is failing to double-check for nearby motorcycles. Unfortunately, this can lead to a serious accident.

As previous postings in this blog have discussed, passenger cars are no match for a commercial motor vehicle, and when the two collide the outcome can be tragic. Truck accidents involving pedestrians are almost guaranteed to have a catastrophic, if not fatal, outcome. Unfortunately, this type of accident recently occurred in California.

When an accident occurs on the roadways of California, there is always the potential for injury. Unfortunately, sometimes these injuries are catastrophic or even fatal. As previous postings have discussed, there is always the possibility that the injured party, or their family in the case of a fatal accident, can recover damages from another involved driver if that person was negligent.

One person dead after fatal Los Angeles motorcycle accident

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a death occurs every 12 to 15 minutes due to a crash involving an SUV, motorcycle or truck. The roadways of Los Angeles can, at times, be very dangerous, and some of these fatal accidents occur right here in California. One particular accident that occurred on December 27 left a motorcyclist dead.
